How to Submit a Work Request
Step 2: Log into the LACCD portal.
Step 3: Select "Work Request".
Step 4: Select either "Facility Request" or "Special Project Request" from the "Work Order System" window.
Some examples of a "Facility Request" could include facility repairs, damages, water leaks and motor repairs. An example of a "Special Project Request" could be an alteration and improvement request such as moving a door to a new location.
Step 5: Select request type: "Custodial" or "Facility", and select "Continue".
- A "Custodial Request" is for services such as moving furniture and cleaning.
- A "Facility Work Request" is for items such as facility repairs, damages, water leaks and motor repairs.
Step 6: Identify the Service Location.
From the “Enter Request Information” window, enter the room number or location for which the service is needed in the “Service Location” field. Then, select the “Find” button to retrieve functional location data for the field.
Step 7: Enter "Problem Short Text" and "Problem Details" field information.
In 40 characters or less, enter a descriptive statement of request information in the “Problem short text” field. Next, enter a detailed statement of request information in the “Problem details” field. Review the default “Requested Completion Date” information already populated in the date and time fields. If service is needed prior to the default date and time listed, update the fields before submitting.
Step 8: Submit Request.
Select "Submit" to confirm submission of your request. Congratulations, you have submitted your work request.
