How to Submit Key Request
Step 2: Log into the LACCD portal.
Step 3: Select "Work Request".
Step 4: Choose "Key Request".
Step 5: From the window "Please choose option below", select from the buttons to answer the prompt "Who is going to keep this key?"
- Select "I Will" if the key is for yourself and proceed to Step 6.
- Select "Other Employee" if the key is for another employee and proceed to Step 5A.
Step 5A: Enter name of other employee.
Complete the "Last Name", "First Name", "Employee #" or "User ID" fields, and select "Search".
Step 5B: Select/highlight name from search results list and select "Continue".
Step 5C: Confirm the selection.
Within the "Confirm" window, select "Yes" to confirm and continue. Proceed to Step 6.
Step 6: Requesting a regular key for yourself, or proceeding from requesting a key for another employee.
From the "Enter Request Information" window, select the checkbox labeled "Regular Key". When the box is checked, the quantity field will default to "1". If you are requesting more than one key, enter the amount in the quantity field. All key requests require approval from your supervisor and the director of college facilities. Requests for master key(s) also require the approval of the vice president of administrative services.
Step 7: Identify the Service Location.
From the "Enter Request Information" window, enter the room number for which the key is needed in the "Service Location" field. Then, select the "Find" button to retrieve functional location data for the field.
Step 8: Select option.
From the "Select Service Location" scrolling field, highlight/select your desired location and select "Pick Selected Option" to confirm.
Step 9: Select key type.
From the "Enter Request Information" window, enter the key "type" needed in the "Request Type" scrolling field. The key "types" are lost replacement, damaged/broken replacement, new key request and stolen replacement.
Step 10: Enter "Problem Short Text" and "Problem Details" field information.
In 40 characters or less, enter a descriptive statement of request information in the "Problem short text" field. Next, enter a detailed statement of request information in the "Problem details" field. Review the default "Requested Completion Date" information already populated in the date and time fields. If a key is needed prior to the default date and time listed, update the fields before submitting.
Step 11: Submit Request.
Select "Submit Request" to confirm submission of your request.
