Degree programs are a minimum of 60 units of college credit and combine CSIT courses with General Education requirements.  The AS Degree in Programming for Computer Science is specifically designed to help students prepare for transferring into 4-year programs in Computer Science and related fields.

Certificates of Achievement are state-approved programs which are permanently recorded on your college transcript.  They focus (mostly) on CSIT courses and the unit requirements range from 12 to 39. They are specifically meant to help students either enter, or advance in the job market.

Skills Awards are issued by the CSIT department and are often created while the program is being proposed for state approval. The unit counts can range from nine to 18 and again, the focus is to help students enter, or advance in the job market.
